Ashley Force Hood is an American car drag racer. She races for her father’s team called John Force Racing. She attended Esperanza High school and was a part of the cheerleading squad. She also graduated from California State University-Fulleton with a degree in communications in 2003.

Her drag racing career begin in 2004 and she ended up coming in fourth place in National driver Points. Ashley did not begin her professional racing career until 2007. That same year, she became the first woman to race against her father. Ashley won the race by finishing it in 4.79 seconds with a speed of 317 mph.

Ashley ended up advancing to the semifinals and in October 2007, she became the first woman to race in the Funny car round in Las Vegas. She was defeated by Tony Pedregon, but she did not let that stop her. Ashley continued to spend time practicing. That practiced paid of on March 20, 2009 when she ended up winning the second race of her career. She ended up beating Jack Beckham, who was her former instructor.

Ashley appeared along with her father, mother and sisters in a reality show on A&E called “Driving Force in 2006″. The show only lasted for two seasons, but was popular among viewers. In 2007, she was also named one of the hottest athletes of the year.

Ashley is taking some time of from her racing career to focus on her family. She married her Daniel Hood in the August of 2008. She gave birth to the couple’ s first child, a boy named Jacob in August of 2011. She also enjoys spending time with her three sisters Courtney, Adria and Brittany.
